Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh<\/a> is an accomplished flute and whistle player and singer from D\u00fan Chaoin<\/a> in County Kerry<\/a>, Ireland<\/a>. She is the lead singer and flute player with the traditional Irish music group Dan\u00fa<\/a>, and is a tutor at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance<\/a> at the University of Limerick.<\/p>\n

Muireann plays a Martin Doyle flute<\/a> and has been kind enough to offer a testimonial for Martin’s website. She has also sent us a sample of her flute playing from the album Dual<\/a> \u2013 a collaboration with Julie Fowlis<\/a>, \u00c9amon Doorley and Ross Martin that was released in November of 2008.
