Martin\u2019s concern for <a title=\"African Blackwood Conservation | Martin Doyle Flutes\" href=\"\/african-blackwood-conservation.html\">conservation<\/a> and the conscious use of timber goes back to when he first began working with wood. In the Sound &amp; Fair article he comments:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;From the time I was very young, I lamented man\u2019s destruction of nature.
