Talented Clare singer Edel Vaughan<\/a> has recently been touring with the Kilfenora C\u00e9il\u00ed Band<\/a>. The photo below captures Edel performing with resident flute players Garry Shannon<\/a> (the lefty on the right) and Anthony Quigney (the righty on the left). Both Garry and Edel are playing Martin Doyle flutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A little about Edel Vaughan …<\/h3>\n

Edel Vaughan is a native of the County Clare who has been playing music and participating in traditional and sean n\u00f3s singing<\/a> from an early age. She has won six All Ireland titles and has travelled the world with the renowned Br\u00fa Bor\u00fa<\/a> group. Edel has also travelled and worked with the dance show Rag\u00fas and has had the honour of being a member of the prestigious Clare Memory Orchestra<\/a> for a specially commissioned millennium suite commemorating the death of Brian Bor\u00fa<\/a> in 1014 AD. Edel is also no stranger to the camera having performed on many television series including Abair Amhr\u00e1n, Fleadh TV and Geantra\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Currently touring with the renowned Kilfenora C\u00e9il\u00ed Band, Edel also teaches Irish and history at St. Flannans College in Ennis<\/a> and traditional singing in many Comhaltas<\/a> branches throughout Ireland. Edel released her debut album Spreagtha<\/a> (Inspired) in April 2016 \u2013 here is a sample featuring several songs from the album.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
